National Anti-Counterfeiting Agency: 3.3 billion HUF loss, due to fake toys a year
The loss of the industry is estimated at an average of 3.3 billion forints a year, due to counterfeit toys – according to a report by the European Office of Intellectual Property (EUIPO) published by the National Anti-Counterfeiting Agency (HENT) sent to MTI on Friday.
They point out: the forged toys from uncontrolled sources cause life-threatening injuries and hundreds of billions HUF losses in Europe a year. The problem is exacerbated by the fact that due to the counterfeits affecting the toy sector, an annual one and a half billion euros less taxes are paid annually in the European Union. (MTI)
