NAV confiscated fake cleaning products and untaxed cigarettes
The tax inspectors of the National Tax and Customs Office (NAV) seized fake cleaning products and untaxed cigarettes on a farm near Mosonmagyaróvár, the customs office announced on its Facebook page on Monday morning.
They wrote that it is not yet clear whether the patrols of the deployment directorate uncovered an illegal exchange activity or retail trade on the farm, which is closed off from the inhabited area. During the raid, the tax inspectors seized 455 liters of detergent, 440 liters of fabric softener and 288 cartons of cigarettes.
In the preparatory procedure, NAV staff also cooperated with the police, the customs office announced.
The seized products caused a financial disadvantage to the rights holders, therefore the traders caught in the act are being interrogated by financial investigators as suspects for the violation of industrial property rights and budget fraud committed in a businesslike manner – announced the NAV.
