Investigation in China, because of fake pig ears
Another food falsification scandal semms to be broken out in China, after it turned out, that the popular pig ears are falsified in eastern China – the China Daily newspaper reported on Wednesday.
The fake pig ears, found on the market in Jiangsi, Ganzhou province are confusingly similar to the originals, but – according to the authorities – prepared by the use of chemicals, that can cause blood pressure and heart problems.
The provincial food safety office found gelatin and sodium oleate in the product. The dealer's name was not disclosed, and it is still not indicated who are the manufacturers.
