Fraudsters are trying to use fake DEICHMANN webshops and social profiles
More and more fake DEICHMANN webshops and social media profiles have appeared on the Internet, the shoe retail chain warns. Fraudsters promise users prizes, coupons, cash and even cars if they share the content, but these are all scams.
DEICHMANN said that it communicates exclusively from its official website and its own, verified social media platforms, and also advertises prize games there. The company reported the abuse to Meta, which operates Facebook, and also drew attention to the danger on its own platforms.
The company asks customers to always check whether there is a blue check mark next to social profiles and to report suspicious pages to Meta. This way, they can also contribute to preventing others from becoming victims of fraud.
DEICHMANN emphasized that consumers always use the official webshop exclusively when shopping online.
