The 100th McDonald’s started with hamburger contest

On August 28, in the city Győr the 100th McDonald's restaurant will be opened. It will be the third unit in Győr. There is no other restaurant chain in Hungary with so many units.

The 24-hour restaurant will provide jobs for 60 new employees. McDonald's started its Hungarian expansion in 1988. In 1999, 70 units were operating and in  the past ten years a further 30 new restaurants opened across the country. Over the past six years, nearly 50 old restaurant had been renewed, to widen their range of services for further expands; like McCafé coffee shop, car service (McDrive) or internet access.
In occasion of the hundredth unit opened on 28 August in the Great Hamburger contest will be held, where the best hamburger cooks of McDonald’s will compete with each other.
