Soon we will be able to munch in every PENNY
After nearly a year of successful cooperation, PENNY Hungary and Munch are making the food rescue service available nationwide. Full coverage will be realized by February 12, so residents of all counties will be able to save in a sustainable way.
Munch’s popularity at PENNY is unbroken; in the last nine months, 17,000 customers have saved a total of 53,000 packages from being thrown away on 41,000 occasions. Now the store chain is taking another step towards sustainability, because on January 29, 2024, stores in six counties and then on February 12 will join the Munch food rescue platform.
Thus, from the middle of February, all PENNY customers can get vegetable and fruit and mixed food packages at a minimum 50 percent discount. By purchasing these, customers can not only save significant amounts of money, but also prevent food waste.
“We are proud to be able to make the collaboration between PENNY and Munch available nationwide in less than a year. Fortunately, the food rescue service is becoming more and more popular among our customers, so we are confident that it will be a similarly great success in all counties.”
– said Eszter Kazatsay, PENNY’s head of communications in Hungary, about the expansion of the cooperation.
