Saltwater rice can come soon
Chinese scientists have cultivated a variety of rice that is well suited for saltwater flooding. In China, they would like to grow it on 65,000 square kilometers, if the program succeeds, it could solve 80 million people’s nutrition – Index wrote.
The program was launched in the second largest province of China, east China’s Santung. The Csingtao Sea Rice Research and Development Center is located in a 10 million metropolis located on the shore of the Yellow Sea. (index.hu, Brückner Gergely)
