A spa will soon be opened in Bábolna
A small methane gas power plant has been opened in Bábolna, which utilizes the gas found in the thermal water that has been found 37 years ago.
Mayor Horváth Klára told MTI that the two wells drilled in the early 1980s could provide 38 and 51 degrees water, but the wells were outside and had high methane content. The municipality uses two-and-a-half kilometers of pipeline to transport thermal water to the center of the village and has set up a small heat and electricity plant to utilize the gas. (origo)
