Coming soon: the new security layer is coming
A phone is one of the most personal spaces for users, yet it’s also used in the least private places. On the bus, in the elevator, or anywhere else they’re standing in line, their “digital laundry” can easily be exposed. As phones become more and more tailored to their routines and preferences, privacy concerns continue to grow.
That’s why Samsung is introducing a new layer of privacy protection that can protect smartphones from prying eyes wherever users go. So, even on public transportation, they can check their messages or enter their passwords without worrying about who might be watching them.
Flexible protection honed over years
Not everyone needs the same level of privacy. This new layer could give users the freedom to decide what’s best for them. They can customize the system to increase protection for certain apps or when they provide access to private areas of their phone. There are multiple visibility settings to limit what others can see, depending on their level of privacy. There’s also the option to protect only certain parts of the user experience, such as pop-up notifications. This is a personalized approach that can be fine-tuned or even turned off entirely, rather than a general setting that applies to everything.
It took more than five years of engineering, testing, and refinement to get to this point. Samsung studied how people use their phones, what they consider private, and how security should be implemented in their everyday lives. The result is a combination of hardware and software that the company’s experts have calibrated to protect users—without them even noticing.
A new level of mobile privacy
This is the latest in Samsung Galaxy’s security innovations. Without strong security features, there is no privacy. Samsung Knox has been providing robust protection for Galaxy devices for over a decade, with solutions like Knox Vault dedicated security hardware and Knox Matrix ecosystem protection. The latest solution builds on this commitment to security and can provide privacy protection at the pixel level.
It’s privacy you can see and security you can feel – and it’s coming to select Galaxy devices soon.
