The Hungarians pile up the gifts
Fewer and fewer people are leaving the purchase of gifts to the last minute, and in addition to classic gifts, pets are still one of the most popular surprises, according to a holiday survey of nearly 15,000 people by Pepita.hu, one of the most visited online stores in Hungary. From the research, we also received the answer that those surveyed mostly buy between HUF 5 and 20 thousand per person, and it also turned out that credit is not the most popular solution to cover holiday spending.
With the holidays approaching, one of Hungary’s largest online stores conducted a comprehensive poll among its registered users about their Christmas shopping habits. About 15,000 people filled out the Pepita.hu questionnaire, and the answers revealed that the gift-giving habits of the Hungarian population have not changed much in the past period, there are of course always exceptions.
Those surveyed take care of purchasing gifts in advance: more than half of the respondents (52.1%) already complete one of the most energy-consuming tasks in the autumn months, and nearly 44 percent in the first two weeks of December. The camp of procrastinators is represented by only 3%, they are the ones who leave shopping until the last minute. To the smallest extent (1.6%) there are those who complete the virtual or physical holiday shopping trip from the beginning of the year.
