The situation of dairy producers has improved a bit
According to the latest report of Agricultural Economics Research Institute (AKI); In August, for the first time this year, even if a very small extent, but the domestic milk prices have increased.
An average of 0.7 percent price increase has measured in the average production price of raw milk compared to July, reaching a 55.31 HUF price per kilogram in August. The average price of export has increased by 8 percent, reaching 59.45 HUF. The total milk exports expanded by 8 percent, while the skimmed milk is 22 percent higher than the amount delivered in July. The trade balance remains negative, because between January and June this year, the export turnover decreased by 20, while imports by 7 percent, compared to the same period of 2008 – reports napi.hu.
