It is difficult to compensate the weak pre-season at the Lake Balaton

Until the end of May, commercial accomodiations received 294 thousand guests, 1.5 percent less, than in the same period of last year – reports the Central Statistical Office (KSH).

According to the service providers, interviewed by MTI; the pre-season was poor, because of the bad weather, but the peak season is not worse than last year’s. However, tourism at the lake, shows a mixed picture: Some service providers do not complain, thanks to the good peak season, several others reported about losses that are impossible to catch.
