Tradition making Catfish Festival in Fonyód
The Catfish Festival promoting fish consumption and the protection of living waters will be held for the first time in Fonyód with culinary experiences, free cultural and entertainment programs, cooking competition and sailing lantern parade.
On Saturday, all day, free program series will be held at the ponds near Fonyódliget, where culinary specialties will await the guests. There will be a variety of catfish dishes, fish fair, wines of the Balaton region and char-grilled cakes. Boating tours will also start, where guests can learn about the flora and fauna of the pond system. The festival lasts until Sunday evening. (MTI)
