Individual batches made using traditional methods are METRO’s Wines of the Year

The METRO Wine of the Year title is awarded every year by the wholesale trade to a selection of excellent white, rosé and red wines; in addition to the international selection, the Hungarian METRO also highlighted an excellent domestic wine trio this year.

The METRO Hungarian Wine of the Year 2024 is the Nexus wine family of Tamás Lelovits

Tradition and sustainability characterize the farms from which METRO chose this year’s wine selections. This time, the two wine selections were made from grapes grown in the vineyards of Veneto in Italy and Villány in Hungary.
