Onion day to be held in Ópusztaszer
An Onion day will be held on Saturday in the Ópusztaszer National Historical Memorial Park, and it will be also revealed how the traditional onion soup is made – Kodácz Csengele, the marketing manager of the institution informed MTI.
In the South Great Plain region, red onion and garlic production has centuries-old traditions. According to archival data, in the area of Makó, in 1760, these vegetables were grown in large quantities, and there were those who devoted exclusively to this crop. (MTI)
