A fruit processing plant was handed over in Hatvan
High added value, experience, proper risk management, well-assessed market demands, a production structure and modern technology provide the efficiency of a business, and the government can provide a means for this through subsidies – said Zsolt Feldman of the Simon family farm fruit processor handover of its plant in Hatvan. The State Secretary for Agriculture and Rural Development of the Ministry of Agriculture emphasized that about 900 projects with a total value of HUF 160 billion had received support within the framework of the Rural Development Programme’s support for the development of the food industry (ÉLIP).

The Secretary of State emphasized that horticultural culture is of paramount importance to the Ministry of Agriculture, and in the near future there will be a HUF 30 billion tender opportunity for the sector, which can be used for cold storage, sorting and packaging equipment. Zsolt Feldman put it this way: with the various subsidies, the government wants to help the 8-900 thousand tons of fruit produced in Hungary to reach consumers in the highest possible quality, and to further expand the opportunities of the Hungarian fruit and vegetable market.
