The growth of agricultural producer prices has accelerated
In November last year, agricultural producer prices increased by 7.7 percent, compared to the same month of the previous year. The price of herbal products increased by 8.6, while the price of live animals and animal products increased by 6.4 percent – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Monday.
Compared to the previous month, the price increase accelerated; in October, producer prices were 7.3 percent higher than a year before, the prices of plant products increased by 8.0 percent, while the prices of livestock and animal products increased by 6.2 percent.
In November, cereals prices rose by 12 percent, including wheat by 12 percent, maize by 13 and barley by 8.9 percent in annual comparison. (MTI)
