Economic growth is accelerating in Europe
This year’s first quarter growth rate was higher than in the previous quarter both in the European Union and in the Euro Zone – the European Union's statistical office, the Eurostat announced on Friday.
According to the preliminary data of Eurostat, the euro zone's gross domestic product in the first quarter increased by 0.6 percent seasonally adjusted, compared to the previous quarter. Analysts expected a quarterly GDP growth of 0.4 percent.
In the 28 Member States of the European Union, gross domestic product grew by 0.5 percent in the first quarter compared to the previous quarter. (MTI)
