AutoWallis accelerates: Vehicle sales increased by nearly ten percent in the third quarter
AutoWallis Group’s vehicle sales increased significantly, by 8.4 percent, in the first nine months of the year. The expansion was primarily driven by the Retail business, which grew by more than 21 percent, while, making up for the shortfall in previous quarters, the Wholesale business’s sales also exceeded the value of the previous year by 2.5 percent. The strong sales figures of the region’s leading integrated car sales and mobility service provider were also supported by organic and acquisition activity.
AutoWallis Group’s performance in vehicle sales continued to strengthen in the third quarter of 2025: the Group sold 8.4 percent more vehicles, a total of 39,406, compared to the same period of the previous year, significantly exceeding the 3.4 percent growth shown in the first half of the year. The growth engine was still the AutoWallis Retail Business Unit, which increased its new vehicle sales by 21.1 percent to 8,716, while used car sales increased to 2,766 units (+45.2%). The business unit performed well despite the fact that sales in the base period increased significantly due to one-off effects – the campaigns of Japanese brands (Toyota, Suzuki, Nissan) that ended in March last year – during that period. Of the new vehicle sales increase, 1,400 units were due to the Czech acquisitions closed last year – the three BMW dealerships of NC Auto (Stratos) and the acquisition of Milan Král Group – as well as the sales of the Renault and Dacia dealerships in Budapest that opened last autumn. The number of service hours increased by 46.8 percent to 232,742 hours in the first nine months of the year.
AutoWallis’ Wholesale business increased its sales by 2.5 percent to 27,924 units in the first three quarters of 2025 compared to the same period of the previous year. Given the 3.7 percent drop in the first half of the year, this shows that the Group not only overcame the decline in the period between July and September, but also increased the pace of sales compared to last year. The growth was largely driven by the strong performance of Dacia, Opel, which performed less well in previous quarters (primarily due to the Croatian market), and the launch of Nissan’s Romanian operation.
At the AutoWallis Mobility Services Business Unit, listed in the Premium category of the Budapest Stock Exchange (which includes the Group’s short- and long-term car rental and fleet management), the number of rental events increased by 5.8 percent to nearly 300 thousand (299,983), while the number of rental days increased by 16.8 percent to 183,433. The average fleet size of the AutoWallis Group increased by 4.6 percent to 4,032 units in the first nine months of the year.
Gábor Ormosy, CEO of AutoWallis, said in connection with the third quarter sales data: In addition to organic growth, the performance of AutoWallis, which already represents 30 brands in 17 countries in the region, was also contributed by business developments and acquisitions carried out in the recent period. The company’s country, brand and activity portfolio is effectively diversified, and AutoWallis is growing steadily even in a volatile economic environment. The company’s new vehicle sales could thus reach 100 thousand units in 2028, of which 75 thousand can be provided by the wholesale business and 25 thousand by the retail business, the CEO added. AutoWallis published its updated strategy last spring, in which it plans to double sales and profits and an international growth story by 2028.
