The 25th OBI store was opened in Győr

OBI opened its 25th store in Hungary. The DIY chain with the opening of its unit in Győr has arrived to a milestone: it has strenghtened its leadership on the domestic market and despite the difficult market conditions, it was able to develop business concepts further and increase the number of its stores – was saidat today's opening ceremony. The store awaits its customers on 8,300 square meters. The OBI's expansion created 85 new jobs in Győr and its surroundings.

“The opening of the store in Győr is a milestone in the life of the OBI. With the 25 stores, we have strengthened our market leadership – both in the number of stores, both in terms of their surface areas – on the Hungarian market of DIY products. On the other hand, this expansion is a proof that we are able to grow to reach our customers, despite the difficult market environment”- said Christoph Wackerbauer, Managing Director of OBI Hungary Retail.
