The first tourist visitor center of the country was inaugurated in Győr; the service serves the development of the tourism of the city and the region.

The 224 million HUF investment is a part of a 422 million, 84 percent of EU and government funded development project. The tourist visitor center was created at a downtown pedestrian street. On the top level an informative visitor center section, below is a souvenir shop featuring local specialties await the visitors. (MTI)
