Alpár Gyopáros: the government supports village convenience stores with eight billion HUF
The government will provide 8 billion HUF operating support to businesses operating 2,806 small village shops in the Hungarian village program, the government commissioner responsible for the development of modern settlements announced on Monday in Budapest.
All businesses that submitted valid applications won the tender, and can spend an average of HUF 2.9 million on utilities, rent or wages, Alpár Gyopáros said.
He added: the list of winners can be found on the website of the Hungarian village program and the government, he added.
The politician reminded that since the start of the program in 2019, the state has already spent more than one thousand billion forints on the development of small settlements.
He said: in addition to local governments, civil organizations and parishes could also apply for the grants. 40,000 families received support from the framework of the falus csok (family home building discount).
