Gyopáros Alpár: The settlement of Elek implemented HUF 360 million development through the Hungarian village program
Elek implemented HUF three hundred and sixty million developments through the Hungarian Village Program (MFP), the government commissioner responsible for the development of modern settlements said on Thursday in the city of Békés county.
He explained that since the start of the program in 2019, more than 35 billion forints have come to the small settlements of Békés county with less than five thousand inhabitants, this includes the resources of the village council, the development of the state road network, the support of businesses, church and civil organizations and, among other things, that can be used to save the small shops amount as well.
The government commissioner Eleken inspected the library and the sports hall among the implemented developments, and then at a third development site, a playground, he said that all investments serve multiple community purposes.
In the library built with almost HUF 31 million, board game days, writer-reader meetings, craft workshops are organized, a “live, glowing community space” has been created – he said. In the sports hall, a new sports floor was laid for HUF 16.6 million, the changing rooms and water blocks were renovated, a new ball-catching net was installed, and in accordance with the request of the county table tennis association – which organizes all its tournaments here – the windows were foiled.
Alpár Gyopáros said that the Hungarian village program will be continued. In September, the results of the call that closed a few days ago will be announced, in which local governments could apply for the renovation of roads, sidewalks and bike paths. After that, new calls will be published – he underlined.
