Domestic tourism performed weak in July

The number of overnight stays decreased by 5.9 percent, the total gross sales revenue declined by 3.8 percent in July compared to July 2010 at the public accommodations – reports the Central Statistical Office.

The number of overnight stays in July was 2.892 million, while revenues amounted to 26.457 billion HUF. In the first seven months of the year, the number of overnight stays increased by 0.4 percent to 10.786 million, while the gross revenue was 133.378 billion HUF and was 4.1 percent above the similar period of the previous year.
