FMCG retail sales decreased early this year
Retail volume sales increased by 1.6 percent from the base period level in January 2016; adjusted for calendar effects, the sales growth was 2.1 percent. Food and food-type retail sales dropped 1.5 percent. Non-food sales augmented by 5.7 percent and motor fuel volume sales rose 4.4 percent.
