Weakening price-decrease in the agricultural sector
Producer price level of agricultural products in June 2009 fell by 13 percent, compared to the same period in 2008. According to KSH, crop products were down by 17.5 percent, while livestock and animal products decreased by 3.9 percent. Producer prices for cereals reduced drastically, by 22.6 percent. Fruit producer prices dropped by 23.6 percent. Slaughter animal producer prices improved by 1.5 percent. Staying in the negative zone, the buying-in price of milk was only HUF 57 per litre in June 2009.
