Slovakian breweries feel unwell
Since the drastic tax increase in 2003 the Slovakian plants producing less beer. Slovakian people drink lighter beers and yearly more import beers.
According to Association of Slovakian
Breweries the total beer output was 4.85 million hectoliter in 2002,
it decreased to 4.57 million hectoliter in 2003, because of the new
tax rules, but the biggest decreasing happened a year later, when the
decay was 400,000 hectoliter. Since than yearly 100-150,000
hectoliters less beer is produced. In 2008 only 3.55 million
hectoliter.
Slovakian breweries try to survey, so
thy started to produce Bohemian beer. Czechs drink yearly 500,000
hectoliter import beer, more of them are Checz.
