German retail sales were weaker than expected in December
German retail sales underperformed analysts’ expectations in December, year-on-year and month-on-month.
The German Federal Bureau of Statistics, Destatis, announced on Friday that retail sales grew 0.8 percent year-over-year in December, after a 2.7 percent rise in November. Experts expected a 5 percent increase for December. (MTI)
