Falling turnover at Lake Balaton

The food retailers of the South-Balaton, reported a 15-20 percent traffic decrease, caterers reported about a 20-30, coastal buffets about a 30-50 percent decrease, compared to last year's pre-season datas at the Lake Balaton.

According to Kertész Rezső, co-chairman of the Trade and Tourism Entrepreneurs of Somogy County (KISOSZ) 2297 retailers are operating at the southern lake area. The survey was made among 100 of them. Experience has shown that the caterers and retailers are optimistic, despite the major pre-season turnover losses.
