GVH president: since its launch, more than 650,000 people have visited the online price monitoring site
Since its launch on the first of July, more than 650,000 visitors have visited the website of the online price monitor – said the president of the Economic Competition Authority (GVH) in Kossuth radio’s Vasárnapi újság program.
Balázs Csaba Rigó said that the first day of the system was “very promising”, since more than 230,000 people clicked on the page, and the interest did not decrease afterwards; in the period since its launch, visitors have downloaded data 48 million times and started 264,000 keyword searches on the portal.
As mentioned, the piece and unit prices of the 62 basic foods in the system are sent daily by the approximately 1,200 stores of the six commercial chains that are obliged to send the data. With the help of the interface, customers can decide which product is of the same quality at the best price for them, and in which store to buy it.
