Gergely Gulyás: every farmer will get their money
Every farmer will get their money – the minister leading the Prime Minister’s Office said on Thursday in Budapest at the Government Information Center in connection with the situation of farmers who got into trouble because of Bászna Gabona Zrt.
Gergely Gulyás said that at Wednesday’s meeting, the government also heard the president of the Chamber of Agriculture about the situation of Bászna Zrt., after liquidation applications were filed against the company. He added that according to the president of the Chamber of Agriculture, there is a real risk that farmers will have to wait or may not receive their money due to the bankruptcy of the zrt. The minister said that the government is therefore intervening, cooperating with the Chamber of Agriculture, and accepting their proposal to guarantee that every farmer will get their money. It should not happen that someone has sold crops and does not receive the money they are entitled to, the government, together with the Chamber of Agriculture, will disburse the money – Gergely Gulyás recorded, also stating that the chamber will take into account the demands and will also help the government to pay the farmers as soon as possible.
