Gergely Gulyás: the government is expanding the support program for small-town grocery stores
The government is expanding the grocery store support program launched in settlements with fewer than 5,000 people, the minister leading the Prime Minister’s Office announced on Thursday in Budapest, on Kormányinfo.
Gergely Gulyás said that according to a previously published government decision, the government had provided four billion forints for the program to support small stores, in which grocery stores in small settlements could apply for a subsidy of 3 million forints. At the same time, applications for the program were worth more than 10 billion forints: 3527 applications were received from 2392 applicants from 1966 different settlements, and usually individual entrepreneurs requested support for one or two shops.
The government decided to provide the necessary funds, so that all applicants whose applications meet the conditions will receive the support – the minister announced.
