Grapes are popular in every format
Winemakers and grape growers have an excellent year. More wine will be made this year than in 2016 and table grape consumption has also increased. Hungarians eat 2.5-3kg of grapes a year. On 1,000 hectares of land 15,000 tons of table grapes were harvested in Hungary. As for winemakers, they will harvest 410,000 tons of grapes and from this 2.9 million hectolitres of new wine will be made (last year’s wine output was 2.7 million hectolitres). //
