Grant Thornton: The number of female managers is on the rise
While the proportion of senior management positions held by women worldwide has increased from 19.4% to 33.5% in two decades, progress has been disappointingly slow – just 1.1% growth from last year.
Road to equality: 20 years of the Women in Business report, the international business and tax consulting company Grant Thornton published its 2024 report. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the regular completion of the survey, which monitors the development of the number of female senior managers in medium-sized companies worldwide.
The data of the report comes from a survey by Grant Thornton International Business Report (IBR). Launched in 1992, IBR now conducts annual surveys of approximately 10,000 business leaders in 28 countries and provides insight into the economic and trade issues affecting companies’ growth prospects worldwide.
