Breed trials by GOSZ-VSZT-NAK: prizes were awarded to the best breeds
The corn, winter wheat and winter rapeseed investigated in the variety experiments are the defining field crops in Hungarian agriculture, so it is very important that farmers have the widest possible knowledge of the capabilities of the different varieties. The first, very important step in the success of agricultural production is the selection of the right seed and hybrid, and the GOSZ-VSZT-NAK variety trials provide farmers with help based on objective data. The National Chamber of Agrarian Economy regards the range of varieties included in the experiment as a list of offer varieties, emphasizing that there are many excellent varieties available to producers in addition to those participating in the experiment. At the NAK Szántóföldi Days and Agricultural Machinery Show in Mezőfalv, the first three places in each maturity group of all three plant species were awarded, and the variety-owning companies participating in the experiment received certificates.
