GOSZ: the 2-3 – week delay in the spring works can be made up

Spring works on the fields are in about 2-3 weeks late, due to bad weather, but according to Vancsura József chairman of the National Grain Association (GOSZ), the delay can be made up, if the weather turns more favorable in a short period of time.

Vancsura József told MTI on Wednesday, that the sun and the light breeze would help the soil to dry. According to the datas of the association, winter crops of cereals are now under water on about 30 thousand hectares. The expert indicated that the plants can toleratewatercover for usually 5-10 days without higher damage. (MTI)
