Less wheat yield is expected this year, than last year, so the expected yield of the country, will be below 4 million tons – told Vancsura József, president of the Association of Cereal Growers (GOSZ) on Monday to MTI. He added that the professionals estimate the yield to be between 3-4 million tons.
A more precise forecast is expected by the end of the month, when they will measure the damages caused by the extreme weather. In addition, the lack of water is also significant. This depending on the region, varies between 80-100 millimeters – reminds Vancsura József. (MTI)
