GOSZ: wheat prices are rising
Due to the drought, the prices of old stocks are rising, in several places the price of good quality wheat has reached 60 thousand forints per tonne – answered the question of the World Economy by Petőházi Tamás, President of the National Association of Cereal Growers (GOSZ). By comparison, according to the NAIK Agricultural Economics Research Institute, the average price of table wheat was still 54.9 thousand HUF in the last week of February. According to the President of GOSZ, the weak forint against the euro and the high demand also contribute to the price increase. (Kelemen Zoltán, vg.hu)
