Greece will open to tourists from July
Greece will open to tourists on 1 July, while Denmark does not yet plan to lift its border closure for tourism due to the coronavirus epidemic.
The Greek government has announced that the details of the relaunch of tourism have not yet been fully worked out, but will be completed by 15 May, including rules on healthy travel conditions and how to provide financial support to the sector. Tourism accounts for 30 percent of Greece’s total domestic product. One third of hotels, restaurants and travel agencies are bankrupt due to the pandemic. So far, 45,000 jobs have been lost in the sector due to the pandemic. (MTI)
