Hungarian wine growers in trouble
According to Varga Winery market analyze demand for wine decreased at HoReCa sector, but sales in retail are till now stabil.
The survey said in January there was a
15-20% drop in wine consumption in hotels and restaurants. Wine
grower said it is not the biggest problem now, more burning is the
financial situation, banks don't give credit for them or the
conditions are more strict as before.
Bálint Varga, marketing director
of Winery Varga thinks in midle term there will be a mininal drop in
the sales. The lot of import wine on supermarkets shelves also don't
help for the Hungarian wine sector.
