Nébih found GMO-contaminated seed
GMO-contaminated soybean seeds were found by the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih), so action had to be taken against both producers and users, Nébih told MTI.
The seeds were sown in Győr-Moson-Sopron and Vas counties on about 400 hectares. Specialists ordered the plant stock to be locked, destroyed before harvest, and the plants to be located to prevent contamination from spreading. Seed producers and users also cooperated with the authority, he added. (MTI)
