NGM: We need to support the spread of the new payment methods
It is an important task is to ensure the framework for the new payment methods, because these methods of payment are low-cost, fast and adjust to consumer demand – Balogh László, Deputy Minister of State of the National Economy Ministry told on Tuesday in Budapest.
At the Modern Payment Solutions conference of Napi Gazdaság, Balogh László highlighted: that the spread of electronic payment methods continued in the second half of 2013 in Hungary, while the number of cash transactions have declined. The payment card acceptance network has also developed: the number of terminals increased by 4.6 percent in six months, and 36 percent of the terminals already accept contactless cards. (MTI)
