GLS Hungary: the service is stable even in the summer
GLS Hungary has officially responded to the news published in the press, according to which courier services in Hungary have problems with delivery, and because of this, many customers are directed to parcel points. The modern trade union Egyenlő.hu previously warned that during the summer vacations, due to the lack of labor and the inadequacy of the logistics systems, more and more customers have to pick up their ordered packages in person.
GLS Hungary stated that their service is stable, and that parcels are delivered in the usual manner and quality even in the summer months. The company emphasized that thanks to the appropriate work organization and their two parallel operated systems – home delivery and delivery at the transfer point (GLS Automata and GLS Parcel Point) – they are able to meet all customer needs on time, regardless of the chosen delivery method.
According to GLS Hungary, in 99% of cases, the first delivery attempt takes place on the working day after the packages have been picked up. The company also emphasized that they currently have a sufficient number of employees committed to high-level package delivery, which ensures uninterrupted service.
