Globally, sugar prices are decreasing
While in Hungary processed sugar prices are much higher than in the surrounding countries, at the world's commodity exchanges, the price of raw sugar and white sugar is on a downward trend for a long.
In Hungary the 25 percent VAT rate, and the supply that can cover only one third of the domestic demand makes difficult situations for the buyers.
Yesterday at the New York and at the London commodity exchanges sugar tradings decreased, because India, the world's second largest producer announced, that they will issue a large volume of exports soon – reports ProfitLine.hu.
