GKI: Further improving consumer expectations, business expectations unaltered
In the first quarter of 2014 last year’s soaring of the GKI-Erste economic sentiment index adjusted for seasonal effects slowed down. According to the empirical survey conducted by GKI with the support of the EU March consumer expectations reached their eight-year high level after a drop in February. Although business expectations stagnated, they remained at a level not recorded for fourteen years. Optimism not observed for more than one and a half decade continues to reign in Hungary before the elections.
