GKI: the consumer confidence index closed the year on its ten year peak
The GKI economic index increased again in December. The index has been surging in a relatively narrow band for about three years and is now located at the top of this. The business expectations slightly increased, while consumer expectations increased powerfully. The consumer expectations are on their ten year peak – the GKI Economic Research Co. told.
According to the study prepared with the support of the European Union, the November sentiment index improved to minus 0.9 points from minus 2.2 points, while the business confidence index increased from 2.8 points to 3.7 points, while the consumer confidence index improved from minus 16.5 points to minus 14, 1 points in December.
