GKI: growth in the economy may be 2.7 percent this year and 2 percent next year
Compared to the previous month, the economic growth forecast of the GKI Economic Research Company has not changed: this year, the gross domestic product (GDP) is expected to increase by 2.7 percent and 2 percent next year.
According to the GKI forecast sent to MTI, the Hungarian economy after last year’s temporarily rapid growth is on a slowing track this year. The first quarter’s growth of 3.5 percent was followed by a 2.7 percent, growth in the second and a 2.3 percent growth in the third quarter. In the coming quarters only a growth of around 2 percent is expected. (MTI)
