GKI: gradual slowdown in economic growth is expected
According to the forecast of the GKI Economic Research Co. the economic growth will slow down compared to the first quarter’s 3.5 percent GDP growth rate. For the whole year a 2.5 percent growth is expected.
The economic researcher in its communication sent to MTI explained that the rapid growth experienced in the first few months has came to a halt in May at a number of sectors. Compared to April, the volume of turnover in the industry fell by 1 percent and in retail trade by 0.1 percent, however, the construction industry, continues to be stronger. (MTI)
