GFM: the government increases the budget of the Food Industry Supplier Development Program by nearly six times
In order to strengthen Hungarian businesses, the government is increasing the amount of the Food Supplier Development Program (ÉLIP) by nearly six times, the Ministry of Economic Development (GFM) announced to MTI on Friday.
According to the announcement, there was enormous interest in the ÉLIP announced in September. In order to strengthen Hungarian businesses, the government has decided to increase the budget of ÉLIP from HUF 6 to HUF 33 billion, thus supporting the increase in competitiveness of food industry enterprises and the expansion of food industry investments and capacities with an additional HUF 27 billion, they wrote.
Thanks to the government’s decision, 78 Hungarian businesses can receive support, and a total of more than HUF 45 billion in investment can be realized – they added. Among other things, investments such as the acquisition of production lines, green energy development, packaging development, warehouse expansion, and refrigeration technology developments can be realized.
