GfK: stagnating consumer confidence
According to the analysis of the GfK Consumer Confidence Index, in the last quarter of 2014, the index has reached a 1-point increase. The consumer expectations are stagnating, while the propensity to buy rose slightly.
The Consumer Confidence Index rose by more than one point, its value in December 2014 is 164 points.
The Consumer Expectations Index in the last quarter of 2014 remained almost unchanged and is currently 184.5 points. The fact that there are no changes in the value of the index does not mean that there are no changes in the components of the index. While teh assessing of the real income of the families has improved, the expectations about the economic situation of the country in the next12 months have worsened. In the long-term five year-long expectations there are no significant changes compared to the previous quarter.
